Traffic & Safety

 

Important Traffic Flow Information: 

  • Right lane is for drop off and pick up only

  • Left lane is passing and pull through only

  • Please always use the crosswalks and listen to the crossing guard's instructions. Please do not cross TK (Transitional Kindergarten) and Kindergarten students through parking lot traffic. Walk them over to our cross- walk for safety.

  • Do not leave your car unattended in the car loops as it blocks our traffic flow.

  • Be patient the line will move, Keep puling forward.

  • No double parking

  • Remind children to always be looking for their parent/ car.

  • Please do not call students past the blue line.

Drop Off and Pick Up Information: 

  • TK/K Students - The TK/K entrance is reserved for TK/K students only. Upon arrival, students enter at the TK/K gate. Our team of teachers and support staff will be there to make sure all students get to their classrooms safely. Please do not stop your vehicle near the TK/K gate. Remember, we have all of our families arriving at the same time trying to get their students safely to school. We have staff available who can walk your child to the gate safely. Thank you so much for helping make sure all of our families can enter the loop efficiently. 

 

  • 1st– 5th Grade Student Arrival/Dismissal - Please work together as a family to establish your drop-off and pick-up routine with your children. Please follow the traffic flow map procedures to ensure safety.

  • Back Bus Loop: For the safety of our students, no student pick-up or drop-off is allowed in the back bus loop. This area is designated for buses and SEED families only.

  • Meet & Eat - Breakfast will be available in the MPR every morning starting at 7:15 AM. Students will be supervised and remain in the MPR until the gates open at 8:15. Only students are permitted to enter the MPR as we maintain a controlled campus environment.

 

Campus Safety & Visitor Guidelines: 

  • To help ensure a safe and secure learning environment for all students, all Murrieta Valley Unified School District schools are closed campuses. Parents/guardians are welcome to walk their child to their classroom door during the first two days of school (August 10 and August 11).

  • Beginning August 12, all visitors must check in through our Raptor Visitor Management System before entering campus. Campus access is available for prearranged meetings with your child's teacher or approved PTA volunteer opportunities.

  • For the safety of our school community, visitor badges must be worn and remain visible at all times while on campus. Thank you for partnering with us to help keep our campus safe while creating a welcoming environment for all students.

Bicycles & Scooters:

  • Students who ride a bicycle or non-electric scooter to school must complete a permission slip, available in the front office. Once the completed permission slip has been submitted, students will receive a Monte Paw sticker to place on their helmet.

  • Students are required to wear a properly fitted safety helmet while riding to and from school and are encouraged to use a lock to secure their bicycle or scooter in the fenced bike rack area.

  • Bicycles must be walked while on school grounds and are not permitted on the main campus. Skateboards, e-bikes, electric scooters, skates, and rollerblades are not permitted on school grounds at any time.
