Students may begin their reading homework, writing homework, and studying for their multiplication facts the weekend before if they have a busy family schedule or have doctors' or orthodontist appointments during the school week.  Parents may write me a note or email me if their child is excused from homework.  I will modify and accommodate your child's needs, just discuss it with me please.

All homework is due with a parent's signature or initials: 1. Spiral Math Review, 2. Daily Journal Prompts, 3. Reading Log. Homework reinforces instruction in class, teaches your child self-motivation, and discipline. It is noted on the district report cards.

Smarty Pants: Students who don't use their Bathroom Passes during classroom instruction get a Smarty. All children can go to the bathroom whenever it is an emergency.  My goal is to encourage your student to use the bathroom before school, at recesses, and lunch so they don't miss instruction or fun projects. Obviously, we never want a child to hold it and have an accident!
